What is the All Party Parliamentary Group on Domestic Violence (APPGDV)?
The APPGDV is made up of MPs from all the main political parties. Formed in March 1999 the groups stated purpose is to work towards the elimination of domestic violence, to highlight issues arising, and to contribute to the development of policies. The group meets each month to discuss key issues, such as women's experience of domestic violence and immigration and the relevance of the Crime and Disorder Act to tackling domestic violence.
The group aims to help progress the Governments strategy on domestic violence and campaign for change. We are a 'doing' not just a talking group. Hearing directly from you about your experience of domestic violence will help inform our work.
The following members have all agreed to take part in this consultation and will be available to answer any questions that you may raise during the course of the consultation about the domestic violence and the work of the APPGDV.
